Network Type

The network type can set a group of IP address for convenience to create rules. this software built-in several network types, you may manage them based on your requirements, but it can not add new network type. Its frame as following:

Built-in network type

  • Anynet: All network, it is read-only, you cannot modify it.
  • Intranet: Usually it is network neighborhood. The default is 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255 and 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255, this two IP ranges are reserved for Intranet.
  • Distrusted: Distrusted network, you may define it yourself. The default rule will block the distrusted network, the IP address listed in the distrusted list will be blocked.
  • Trusted: Trusted network, you may define it yourself. The default rule will allow the trusted network, the IP address listed in the trusted list will be granted. The default trusts the localhost 127.0.0.1 and broadcast address 255.255.255.255.
  • Custom: Custom network, you may define it yourself and use it based on your requirements. For the application rules and Intranet rules, you may define custom IP address or Host name for the rules once you select the Custom network type.

    More operations

    Right-click on list box, a popup menu will be displayed, there have a group of commands to operate the IP ranges, about the details, please view here

    You need to click Apply button to apply the changes after it modified.
